Schools and Social Media

Educators worldwide recognise the needs for students to be active participants in the highly connected world in which we live.  The use of social and mobile technologies to communicate, connect, collaborate and learn are now a standard part of the lives of our community.  However, schools are grappling with how to balance this with the concerns from the school and its community over possible issues around online bullying, security and distraction of students in using this media.
